Quote Brian found for me
Posted by nothingwitty in Uncategorized on April 15, 2008
On religion: "You never see animals going through the absurd and often horrible fooleries of magic and religion. . . . Dogs do not ritually urinate in the hope of persuading heaven to do the same and send down rain. Asses do not bray a liturgy to cloudless skies. Nor do cats attempt, by abstinence from cat's meat, to wheedle the feline spirits into benevolence. Only man behaves with such gratuitous folly. It is the price he has to pay for being intelligent but not, as yet, quite intelligent enough." – Point Counter Point

Client wants coworker to come out and work on Wednesday- she's taking Wednesday off- the first day off she will have had in a month and a half.
She's trying to come up with an excuse to miss it.
I tell her "Just say I'll be drunk off my ass that day, I'm not coming!"
If its the truth is it an excuse?
I think she deserves a day off.

SLOWLY going crazy.
only a few more hours, like 51, before life returns to a semblance of Normalcy. Did you know that was a word?
Except that 16 of those hours are BUSINESS hours, which will be filled with cranky people DEMANDING the taxes they dropped off 2 days ago. And calling repeatedly.
God give me patience. LOTS of it.
or really good drugs… oh wait. I don’t do drugs.
Um…
Alcohol?
He provided the Hebrews with manna from heaven for how long? I don’t see that requesting a day where it rains tequila would be asking a whole lot….

Ya so I woke up to an inch (well maybe half an inch) of snow this morning. This means I had to take Brian to work and I was rushed. I hate being rushed…Snow! Please go away! Its APRIL. And I know that April showers bring may flowers but what do April SNOW showers bring?

So the stress from tax season has been affecting my sleep- I have a hard time falling asleep anyway and you lump stress on that?
Last night at 2 in the morning- I was asleep after lying awake until 12:30- I am woken by a complete asshole on a LOUD motorcycle driving onto the sidewalk UNDERNEATH MY WINDOW. Brian does not wake up, but I jump out of bed and yell groggily “WHO WAS THAT! I’M GONNA KILL THEM, GET THE GUN!” Which does wake Brian up-He thinks I’m being murdered.
I peer out of the blinds to see the man turn off his motorcycle and walk ACROSS the parking lot to the other apartment- why he needed to drive under my window I’m not sure.
I wake up enough to assure Brian that I am not being murdered and therefore do not need the gun. Then he lays back down and is back asleep instantly.
Lucky Bastard.
I am tired today.
there are days I shouldn’t be in accounting
Posted by nothingwitty in Uncategorized on April 5, 2008
This happens to be one of them.
- I just spent 15 minutes wondering why I couldn’t reconcile an account.
I was 4000 off.
It was because I had put in 18000 for deposits instead of 13000.
Duh….
BLAH
Posted by nothingwitty in Uncategorized on April 1, 2008
Blah is how I feel today. I hate Tuesdays, possibly more than I hate Mondays. I hate being busy all day Monday and not being caught up on Tuesday because people keep piling work on my desk.
I should take a picture of my desk and make you all weep.
And weep you would, because my desk is piled SKY HIGH with paperwork.

Yes my dear client, if you have 8 W-2′s and 3 states it will cost you more money to have your taxes prepared. What are you thinking exactly?
